Setting out rods for Joinery Manufacturing |

Setting out was traditionally carried out by experienced joiners, producing full size rods from either sketches, site surveys or Architects detail drawings. The ‘rods’ would more often take up considerable working space in an already cramped workshop. Times have changed and joinery manufacturing has advanced over the years. With the introduction of Computer Aided Design, although drawings are still produced from sketches, site surveys or Architects detail drawings, full size rods can now be achieved from the comfort of an office desk. From a single drawing any number of sections and details can be extracted and printed to aid the machinists and joiners.

We are able to produce working drawings from Architects details & specifications, rough sketches or concept drawings and photographs. We will liaise with your workshop managers to ensure items are set-out for ease of production and are suited to your particular workshop environment and logistics. |

We can prepare cutting sheets and material requisitions using your templates and add corresponding item numbers to the drawings to enable ease of component identification and assembly for your machinists and joiners. |
